I love weekends!!!! It is so beautiful here and it is so wonderful to be able to take some time out to really be able to chew and re-chew all that I am learning here. It is late Saturday night here and I am about to head to bed but I wanted to take a moment to say hello and give you all another look at life here. After breakfast went to a garden on the base and spent the day reading and just working through some things I have learned. It was so refreshing to spend some time with the Lord, it was so amazing. For lunch I had a fresh mango that one of my soccer buddies from the village had picked for me, delicious! It was a wonderful day!
Than I headed back to try my best to try and get some laundry done, not as easy as it sounds!! Some of the women will come over and laugh at me because it takes so long, but in my defense the dirt is very red, and a bucket and a bar of soup make it a bit difficult :D It took me pretty close the 3 hours to do a weeks work of clothing. For dinner some friends of mine from Tonga made fish and chips! Amazing! Protein! My diet here is pretty much all starch and oil, so I was so thankful for a change.
The Lord has really been showing me that He is the God of Peace Himself, (1 Thessalonians 5:23) and changing my perspective in a lot of thing through this truth. Please be praying for the team unity here. There are 35 students from all over the world with huge potential, whether the have realized it yet or not. This team has the potential and the leadership to be very powerful but it needs to be completely wrapped in prayer, so if the Lord lays it upon your heart. Thank you all so much I love you all oodles and tons!!

Megster! OH my goodness!! All of this sounds amazing. I'm am so thrilled to hear about all of your African adventures. It's probably like 99% happy and 1% jealous, but after reading about your sunrises and river runs I think that's a pretty good ratio. Megan, you make me so proud and I am blessed to have you as a friend. Know that we are all thinking and praying for you! Much love your way,
Leslie
Megan, to know what you are experiencing now-so far from home in a place so foreign-is near impossible for us back here, and you know the feeling as well as I do. But thank you for being willing to try and share it with us as best you can. Don't worry about getting it all right or that you can't upload pictures. I can tell by your excitement and joy that you are finding Christ and finding Him awesomely. I couldn't hope and pray for anything better for the beginning and now the rest of your time blessing the people of Uganda.

P.S. Jackfruit IS phenomenal! I'm glad I now know someone else who's had it. But don't eat a whole one in one sitting-just trust me :)
