Right before I left Colorado, my brothers gave me a slack line for my birthday. It is basically a 70ft piece of webbing that is one inch think. You then ous carabeaners to make a pully system in order to make a tightrope between two trees, it is good for your balance, but just a fun way to hangout with people. But the kids here love it!! Some of the kids from a nearby village come up every night to play games and they always love it. It was great we had 30 kids on it all bouncing around with big smiles. It was such a great way to just hang out beings that i only know like 10 words here. It seems so serial, almost like a movie with all the bright colors. Let me try to describe it a bit because uploading pictures hasn’t been working out so well. On the soccer field where i set up the line, the first thing you see in fields of sugarcane, (it looks kind of like a swamp plant or something) then just beyond that is the Nile, gianormous! the sky is so blue and the sun is so strong. It is very lush but everywhere else there is red dirt that once it is on you it is not going anywhere. So through the fields of sugar cane pop up smiling faces, so full of life. In their colorful clothing they run and start doing cartwheels in the grass, laughing and giggling. but to be part of it. to play and live with them is such a huge blessing. I am so thankful.
The Lord had also really been working on me and healing so many areas of my life. To be able to fall before His thrown and really have time to listen. I am so thankful. Everyone here that i am going to school with and living with is so incredibly powerful. I sit next to a pastor who has started 18 churches (he is not a designated pastor but the Lord told him to start a church so he did) Another has adopted a child, he is close to my age but he and his brother are raising 4 boys. Three of the boys are orphans and life has never been an easy thing. But the Lord in His mercy is allowing me to able to learn from their experiences, and live and learn together. I am so thankful to be able to call them friends.

I love your family. 1)Because your brothers gave you a slackline for your birthday. 2)Because that was a good present!
Hope you're loving Africa, let it love you back.
Oh yeah, China was amazing, of course. Tell you about it sometime...
