Love It!!!!

It is 7 in the morning here and the sun has just risen. I sit her still listening to the sound of some Tongans worshiping across the walk. I few hours ago I was awaken by the sound to hearts being poured out before our Lord. It was the leaders for our team worshiping the living God. Some of my teammates and I went to find the source of the cries. We were able to join in the worship. The spirit of the Lord was upon the room in an overwhelming manner. I am so thankful.
We landed into Entebbe Uganda as the sun was rising. We flew over Lave Victoria directly before the landing strip. It was breathtaking. After working our way through customs and visas we were greeted by two of our new friends, Emma and Emma. The first is the base leader, who is native to Uganda and has a very caring presents to him. The second is from Tanzania so he promised to help me learn a little Swahili also. The Hopeland base is beautiful and houses about 150 different people including teachers and staff for a vocational training school and a preschool. Every one is very welcoming in friendly, with a genuinely as they look you in the eyes. I am staying in a dormitory with 13 other girls, about half natives to East Africa and the other half international. They are wonderful and it has been a great time of just getting to know each other before the school actually starts.
I have made friend with some of the local boys that I play soccer and basketball with. Today they introduced me Jackfruit. It is like a large pineapplish fruit that is sectioned kind of like a pomegranate. It has a very sticky meaty texture but it is so yummy!
We have been helping to get the class rooms ready for the teaching to start, but I have also had a chance to help prepare some of the meals and learn how to cook sweet potato in banana leaves and them cover them with G-nut sauce. G-nut sauce tastes pretty much like a very watered down peanut butter but its good.

I am thrilled to see that you are loving it so much. I want to know so much more. We join with you in praising God for his goodness.

BTW: it seems that your skype is not working. We have tried sending some messages when it said you were on line, but they were never delivered. I guess we have to go back to depending on email.

Love you, Dad

Dear, sweet, sweet Meg...You never cease to amaze me! I am so incredibly happy for you...It seems so fitting to me that you are finally in the setting/situation that you are in; who you are, or rather, who you choose to be, is designed for what you are doing. It sounds beautiful there...beautiful and opportunity-saturated! I will be praying for and thinking of you. I love you. You encourage, inspire and challenge me just by being who you are in God. The blog is a great idea; keep it up! I pray that the Master will sweep you off your feet...(and I can't wait to hear all the details as he does!)

Trudging slowly but determinedly through snow, wind, Milton, paper upon paper, exam upon exam, and professorial challenges galore,
